Why Clean Your Grain?

Cleaning your grain beforehand is the best way to ensure that the grain that you store is as safe as it can be. Pockets of foreign material in your silos can cause hot spots or can cause moisture to creep into your grain, and that spells bad news. Even if you don’t have your own on farm silos, cleaning your grain can be to your advantage when selling your product, as most buyers will subtract 2% from your tonnage as screenings.
