Description
We produce a cleated plastic belt conveyor, manufactured of modular belting for the gentle transfer of materials between processing stages.
The standard cleated conveyor has a width of 100mm, with 70mm high cleated fitted at 100mm intervals – in this way, we are able to handle even non-free flowing products easily – and at high angles (up to 65º) – gently – without breakage, as the product is kept in the pocket – still, unmoving while being transported.
Typical uses of our cleated conveyors are after pelleting of animal feeds and aqua feeds – the optional open design allows for cooling fans to be directed onto the conveyor, to speed up cooling of the product before further processing. Another use is the transport of sensitive items that are price sensitive to breakages, such as nuts and beans – where it is needed to transport the product in the most gentle manner possible, to prevent breakage which could have large price influences on the final price of the product conveyed.
Cleated conveyors also have very low power consumption – similar to bucket elevators. A 4.5m unit is driven by a 0.75KW geared motor.
All belts and flights are made of food safe HDPE – and the capacity of the conveyors are up to 5 tons per hour on the 100mm configuration.
Cleated conveyors are built in 1.5m sections using profiled bolt together components for easy assembly on site. Custom lengths are also available.
