Description
The name Slidetec comes from the new log table movement mechanism, where the traditional rolls under the saw tables have been replaced with slide rails. The slide construction creates a smoother sliding action, with better control and a firmer table structure than with typical roller type tables, and also results in lower noise levels during operation.
The capacity of the Slidetec is up to 38m³ of logs – based on a yield of ±52% – or more than 20m³ of sawn timber a day.
At the core of the sawmill is a 65mm blade shaft which supports the blade better with specially made flanges to reduce wobbling and vibration of the blade
Coupled with a hydraulic log handler, you can roll the raw log, or flip the squared up timber or adjust and straighten the log for processing – replacing at least one labourer in the process.
The standard log table has a 9m length – which enables you to saw logs up to 11m in length. As an optional extra you can also order longer tables – if required.
With the low cost chain type top saw, you are also able to handle oversized logs up to Ø760mm
A pre-barker is also available as an option to clear bark and dirt from the cutting line before the rotary blade starts cutting – to increase the lifespan of the main sawing blade.
The blade sharpening device is fitted to the sawmill itself, allowing for on the go blade sharpening, without having to remove the blade for sharpening. The sharpening device is also available in 12VDC or 220VAC drive
