Description
Storage and handling of non-free flowing products are now a problem of the past with the new live bottom bins offered by ABC Hansen Africa.
The bins are standard with a capacity of 4m³ and were designed for keeping non free flowing materials moving in processes.
The bins are typically used as buffer bins in a process, where you need a constant feed of a non-free flowing product into a processing line – without having to manually feed the material consistently.
It allows the material to be stored – and fed out at consistent rates – without bridging in the storage bin.
The agitation is achieved with 2 x top spirals – fitted with additional paddles at the ends, that keep the material moving an flowing – while a central conveyor at the bottom of the bin discharges the material from the bin at a consistent rate – in addition to the spirals, there are two breaker bars installed at the top of the bin, to break bridges in the top of the product, when loading into the bin, and then the bottom of the bin is also fitted with a 0.18KW vibration motor, to agitate the material further.
These bins are ideal for wood chips, plastic flakes, powders, chemicals, wet starches, flaked ice, high roughage feeds and many other materials.
These bins are also available in stainless steel construction on special order.
The inlet height is at 2.7m – making it well within reach of most front end loaders, for dumping the non-free flowing materials into the bin.
The discharge auger is fitted with a (usually) VFD controlled 2.2KW direct coupled gearmotor, while the top two spirals are driven by a single 2.2KW gearmotor and chain drive arrangement.
