When an item is dispatched depends on whether the item is in stock or is manufactured/imported on order. To check whether an item is in stock, manufactured or imported on order, please view the item description or speak to a sales agent.

Courier Transit Times

The courier transit times specified at checkout is the time the parcel takes to be delivered once collected by the courier. In addition to the time specified on the courier options at checkout is processing time, handling or packaging time, manufacturing time, and import time – depending on your specific product. Once an order is received you will receive email confirmation of the lead time of your specific item / order placed.

We use a courier to deliver parcels and they can only collect and deliver from Monday to Friday – there are no deliveries or dispatches over the weekend or public holidays.

Some towns are only serviced on certain days.

E.g. BEREAVILLE (R250 Surcharge) – a R250 surcharge above rate applies.

E.g. NMWAMITHA (Special trip) – arrangements and quote required.

E.g. THUTHUKANI (2 4) – serviced on Tuesday and Thursday.

Return Policy

Like many retailers, we guarantee our products; if an item hasn’t met your expectations, it may be returned provided it is in the same condition as has been shipped to you. If the product has been used or abused, it would not be refunded / exchanged.

It is the sole responsibility of the Customer to determine that the goods or services ordered are suitable for the purposes of intended use. If goods are returned for any reason whatsoever, a 15% handling fee may be charged by ABC Hansen entirely at its own discretion plus delivery or collection charges.

Any exchange or return request should be made 10 days after the order has been received. If a request has not been made within the given time period no exchanged or refunds will be given.

Delivery charges are non-refundable and any delivery charges resulting from an exchange made (if the exchange is not due to a non-performance) is to be carried by the client.

Returning by courier

Within the RSA: Returned items must be sent via insured, prepaid courier. Ensure your return allows you to track your parcel with the courier company.

Please Note: We cannot accept CODs.

Outside the RSA: Ship goods prepaid, by insured ground shipping. To avoid unnecessary delays, please write “South African Goods returning” on the outside of the package.

Please Note: Ensure that no duties or brokerage is payable by Trailsaddles.co.za as such returns would not be accepted.

By agreeing to order a product, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions.

Delivery

We aim to deliver the Product to you at the place of delivery requested by you in your Order. Orders are only delivered to a physical address in a town, no PO Box addresses or farms are allowed.

We shall aim to let you know if we expect that we are unable to meet our estimated delivery date, but, to the extent permitted by law, We shall not be liable to you for any losses, liabilities, costs, damages, charges or expenses arising out of late delivery.

On delivery of the Product, you may be required to sign for delivery. You agree to inspect the Product for any obvious faults, defects or damage before you sign for delivery. You need to keep receipt of the delivered Product in case of future discussions with us about it.

Please note that it might not be possible for us to deliver to some locations. If this is the case, We will inform you using the contact details that you provided when you placed the order and arrange for an alternative delivery address.

All risk in the Product shall pass to you upon delivery, except that, where delivery is delayed due to a breach of your obligations under a Contract, risk shall pass at the date when delivery would have occurred but for your breach. From the time when risk passes to you, We will not be liable for loss or destruction of the Product.

You must take care when opening the product so as not to damage it.

It is your responsibility to ensure that the Products are sufficient and suitable for your purposes and meet your individual requirements. We do not warrant that the Products will meet your individual requirements.

Cancellation by Customer (Non-Faulty Product)

You are entitled to cancel any sale concluded on the Site within 10 days of receipt of the goods and to obtain a refund. Cancellation fees of 15% shall apply. Delivery fees and cash handling fees, where applicable, are not refundable.

Warranty terms

Warranty Periods – when maintained and operated in accordance with the operating and maintenance instructions supplied with the unit or according to best practice. Warranty is limited to the repair of the product and/or replacement parts only.

    3 Years on mill body and main shaft
    Does not include wear parts, beater centres and air ducting parts or fan castings
  2. Universal Mills – 12 months – excluding wear parts and shaft barrel damage.
  3. Other equipment manufactured by ABC Hansen not listed here – 12 months
  4. Grain silos – 75m³ capacity and above
    10 years on silo structure – based on a maximum loading/unloading cycle of 10 times per year
  5. Chain conveyors by MySilo – 2 years
  6. Aeration fans – 2 years
  7. ABC Hansen Grainpump 219mm/273mm – 2 years or 250 hours
  8. Bucket elevators by MySilo/Chief Industries – 2 years or 250 hours
  9. Bucket elevators – 5-20 ton per hour – 12 months
  10. Grizzly 180 and 250 Wood Chippers – 1 years or 100 hours
  11. Grizzly 100 wood chippers – 12 months
  12. JD Diesel Engines, Collins bag stitchers, pruning shears and platform scales, maize peelers – 6 months
  13. Mechanical tipscales – 12 months
  14. Electrical components and motor control centres – extension of manufacturer of components warranty – dependant on their specific warranty requirements and terms.
  15. Switchgear, motor control centre components and sensors – no warranty exists on these components
  16. Petrol engines – extension of manufacturers warranty – engines should be registered with the manufacturer for warranty.
  17. Blenders – 500lt – 3000lt – 12 months
  18. Pellet mills MPEL200-MPEL400 – 12 months
  19. Other equipment not specifically listed here – 12 months
    20. Silo and silage bag equipment, maize threshers (PTO type) and harvesters – 12 months 

Materials and workmanship
The company warrants products manufactured by it to be free from defects in material and workmanship in normal use and service for the period as stated above – varying – depending on the equipment.

There are no warranties of merchatability or fitness for a particular purpose with respect to any product manufactured or sold by the company.

All warranties commence from date of delivery or shipment from ABC Hansen factory – and not from date of commencement of use.

All warranties exclude wear parts – including but not limited to:
Bearings, V-Belts, Wear plates, air ducting, dust bags, mill tips, mill stones, mill plates, mill pins, mill rollers, pellet rollers, pellet dies, sprockets, chains, paddles or flighting.

 

This warranty does not cover:

  1. Machines or parts lost during shipment.
  2. Normal maintenance or adjustments.
  3. Normal replacement of service items.
  4. Accessory items / parts not supplied by ABC Hansen Africa.
  5. Damages resulting from:
  6. Misuse, negligence, accident, theft, fire.
  7. Use of improper or insufficient fuels, fluids or lubricants.
  8. Improper installation.
  9. Use of parts or after market accessories other than genuine ABC Hansen Africa parts
  10. Modifications, alterations, tampering or any repairs performed by other than ABC Hansen Africa.
  11. Any device of accessories installed by parties other than ABC Hansen Africa.

Engines and electric motors are covered by the manufacturer of the engine/motor and covered by the warranty periods specific to that manufacturer, and their specific terms and requirements.

Under no circumstances will the ABC Hansen Africa or its employees be liable for any personal or consequential damage or expense of any kind, including loss of profits, injury, damage to other items or any such consequentially related claims. Should failure of one item operating in the failed status for whatever reason, then result in damage to another item, liability under warranty will only be extended to the initially failed item.  The manufacturer is in under no circumstances liable for the cost of tow vehicles, loading equipment or transport of any kind. The manufacturer is not responsible for the maintenance of any item sold before, during or after lodging of a warranty claim.

This warranty only extends to the original purchaser and is not transferable. Warranty is void if repairs are attempted by anyone other than ABC Hansen Africa.  

If difficulty develops with a product, ABC Hansen Africa should be contacted immediately and a warranty report, as per attached copy, should be forwarded to customercare@abchansen.co.za. Only ABC Hansen Africa is authorized to make repairs to the product or affect the replacement of defective parts with new or refurbished parts, which will be done at no charge within a reasonable time after receipt of the product at ABC Hansen Africa’s facility.

Not having access to, or understanding an operating manual as a reason for operating the item incorrectly shall not be a consideration in granting a warranty.

The warranty is only applicable once the defective parts have been thoroughly assessed by ABC Hansen Africa – at its premises, and have been assessed to be defective, if ABC Hansen deems that the part is not defective, and does not fall under the warranty – the replacement part will be charged to the customer. There shall be no cost charged to the customer for the assessment of the part.  The defective product must be delivered to ABC Hansen Africa for assessment and replacement – otherwise the replacement parts will be charged to the customer.  

Should any raw material for testing purposes be required following a repair under warranty, the buyer shall provide and deliver to ABC Hansen’s premises such raw materials at its own cost or may be invoiced by ABC Hansen for such materials should the buyer be unable to supply such raw materials.

All parts replaced under the warranty – remain the property of ABC Hansen Africa.

No warranty claims will be entertained if the defective product is not returned to ABC Hansen Africa’s premises for assessment, unless specifically and specially authorized by an ABC Hansen Africa director in extenuating circumstances.  

ABC Hansen Africa will also have the right to reduce the price in proportion to the defect, if the delivered product is defective. The purchaser shall not be entitled to put forward claims against ABC Hansen Africa in connection with defects of the delivered product, including for materials or services performed for repairs instructed by the buyer.

If a liability is imposed upon ABC Hansen Africa by a South African court or an arbitration process – the liability will not exceed 20% of the ex works purchase price of the specific piece of equipment that the warranty is claimed on, excluding transport or installation charges.

Labour charges for removing defective parts and installing replacement parts, shipping charges with respect to returning of the defective parts to ABC Hansen Africa are not covered by this warranty.

Transport and insurance costs for goods handed in for warranty assessment and repair – at the ABC Hansen Africa facility – are at the cost of the customer.  In the case of an authorized and warranted warranty repair, the unit or parts shall be returned to the customer at the cost of ABC Hansen Africa. Damage in transit is not covered by warranty. Include the original purchase receipt/invoice and delivery note with any claim.

The company reserves the right to make changes or improvements to its products without incurring any obligations with respect to previously manufactured products.

Field modification of products without the expressed written permission of ABC Hansen Africa constitutes misuse of the product.

The company shall have no liability under this warranty until payment in full for the product – as well as any installation and commissioning costs, has been made by the customer to ABC Hansen Africa.

With respect to used equipment sold hereunder, regardless of manufacture, ABC Hansen Africa makes no warranty whatever, and all warranties, express or implied are hereby excluded. With respect to such used equipment, the buyer agrees to accept such used equipment on an “as is, where is, voetstoots” basis.

The manufacturer’s liability under warranty is limited to the repair of the product and/or replacement of parts and is given to the purchaser in lieu of all other remedies including incidental and consequential charges. There are no warranties, expressed or implied, other than those specified herein.

ABC Hansen makes no guarantees regarding capacities, yields or quality of processed product of our equipment. Capacities, yields and end products specifications stated in brochures, flyers, internet pages and technical documents as well as presentations of any kind made to customers, whether verbal, electronic or in writing, are indicative and advisory only – and deviation from these shall make no basis of claim against ABC Hansen Africa. The capacity, quality and yields are dependent on numerous factors including – specific products processed, the final specifications of end products, the operators of the machine, the quality of the raw materials, moisture content, foreign material content, moisture content, final inclines and heights of conveyors, specific weight of the product, type of power supply, hours of operation and a plethora of factors. It is the responsibility of the buyer to ensure that the machine purchased is fit for purpose.

The buyer, upon signature of any invoice, delivery note, certificate of installation, terms of trade or any other document relating to the transaction agrees that any dispute arising as a result of this warranty shall not be referred to the courts, but shall be settled by  arbitration in Pretoria, South Africa, under the Rules for Arbitration Foundation of South Africa under the Rulers of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce, as ABC Hansen Africa may elect, by one or more arbiters appointed by the Parties by mutual agreement, or failing which, in accordance with the said rules, whose award shall be binding upon the parties

 

 

WARRANTY REPAIR REPORT:

Print this portion and complete as fully as possible. Please note that making false or untrue statements on this form may void your warranty anad complete the above form and return via email, at least 2 days prior to the planned delivery date of the machine. Machine delivery is to 216 Propshaft Rd,Samcor Park, Pretoria, South Africa – at client’s cost. No machine will be accepted at the factory without this warranty claim form fully completed.

The machine will then be assessed and a decision will be made as to whether it is a warranty claim, or not and this will be communicated to the client – either via a warranty approval notification, or a quote will be submitted for the repairs to the machine.

Before any repairs will be done the quote or the warranty approval must be confirmed b the client. Should the client opt not to accept the quote, the machine will be prepared so that the client can arrange to pick it up within 5 working days. If the machine is not collected within 5 working days after notification that the machine is ready for collection, ABC Hansen Africa will charge storage fees @ R350/day.
