ABC Hansen Africa manufactures catwalks or gantries for access at silo tops, and for road bridges, as well as for support of overhead conveyors.
The catwalks have a walkway cross section of 1.2m covered with Mentex 70 or similar material – with 1m high hand rails.
The standard catwalk has a maximum free span of 12m, while the upgraded, braced catwalk has a freespan of up to 18m – allowing for longer spans without intermediate supports.
The catwalks have as standard a hot dip galvanized finish – making for a maintenance free overhead structure.
The catwalk manufacture design is signed off by a professional engineer – and complies to relevant South African standards
The catwalk is shipped in a bolt together knock down form in typically 6m sections – and is also available in 1m, 2m and 3m sections, allowing for effective shipping.
Load capacity for the catwalk is 100kg/m and wind rating is 145km/hr.
