Humidity Monitoring in Silo

Category:

Description

As a complementing technology to the temperature monitoring system – Procer also offer a relative humidity monitoring system – with humidity sensor cables hanging from the silo roof, into the grain – exactly like the temperature monitoring cables.

The function of the humidity sensors, is to measure the humidity in the air between the grain kernels – again for detecting any anomalies in the moisture – which could and usually does – indicate bacterial, fungal and insect activity. The humidity sensors will also indicate if you have moisture migratiion in the silo – due to insufficient aeration.

The Procer system that ABC Hansen offers – is an easy install, and easy to operate system.

The entire system is wireless – so there are no signal cable to be laid and ducting and rackings to be installed. The cables are installed through the roof of your silo, and there is a wifi receiver/sender mounted to the roof of the silo (optional GSM modules also available for remote silos).

The amount of cables and the amount of sensors is determined by the diameter and height of the silo – for optimal measurement of the grain.
