Spring balancer

R603.22 Incl. Vat

This spring tool balancer has an easily adjusted tension to help the operator for quick storing and operating of bag stitchers and other hand and power tools.

A balancer is used to reduce fatigue when operating continuously due to repetitive strains – by removing most of the weight of the tool from the operator during operation – thus the tool nearly swings freely in the air, and allows the operator to easily adjust the height of the machine.

This balancer has an adjustable friction – and can be adjusted between up to 3kg by turning the adjustment wheel on the side of the balancer, and has a 1.6m retractable cord – and is housed in a high strength plastic cover to ensure that the balancer mechanism stays clean and free running.

Balancers are commonly used in:
1) Production lines
2) Bench assemblies
3) Repetitive work
4) Heavy tool lifting.

Description

This standard type spring balancer can be used for a wide variety of applications in suspending tools and equipment vertically.

The balancer features an easy to adjust ratchet type spring tensioner, for the easy suspension and storage of hand tools – and it is an essential piece of equipment for prevention of operator fatigue and to reduce risks associated wqith repetitive stress injuries, while increasing productivity.
The balancer is housed in a steel casing – for longevity and strength in harsh environments.

Capacity – 5-7kg
Travel distance – 1.5m
Wire rope – 3mmØ

Benefits:
Reduced worker fatigue, as the balance removes nearly all the weight from the handheld sticher whilst operating
Prevents mechanical damage from dropped tools and bag stitchers
Prevents misplacement of tools and bag stitchers, as it is in a fixed location
Ensures stable tool and stitcher positioning – enabling more accurate work

Working principle
The balancer has a spring loaded wheel, with a tapered drum – allowing for variable spring torque when lifting or pulling down the tool or stitcher. The tool is fastened with a detachable hook to a roof rafter, or overhead support, and the wire rope with the clasp is lowered down and the tool or stitcher is hooked onto the balancer. The tension of the balancer can be set – to the specific weight of the tool to ensure best performance for any tool hooked to the balancer.
