Description
For entry level drying capacities – ranging from 2-15 tons per hour, batch type grain dryers are an attractive option – both in terms of pricing, reduced infrastructure requirements, and versatility – able to dry maize, wheat, sunflower and paddy rice amongst others.
These batch dryers are designed for 24 hour a day operation, ensuring that you are able to dry your crops as quickly as possible, and get them delivered or stored.
Batch dryers are typically sized on their holding capacity – the batch dryers that we offer – start at around 10m³ holding capacity, up to 75m³ holding capacity. An easy rule of thumb on capacities (based on maize from 20% – 14% reduction) is around 5T/24hrs /m³ holding capacity. Thus a 33m³ model – would be able to dry (33 x 5) 165T/24hrs
Most batch type dryers are in mobile configuration, so they are able to move between locations, to where moisture problems are experienced, also making them ideal for shared applications, or for renting out.
The dryers are available in either PTO drive, or electrical drive – PTO drive is ideal for when you’re going to be moving around the dryer, so you’re able to just hook it up to a tractor, and start drying immediately. In the case of electrical drives – they will usually be for more stationary applications.
As standard the dryers are fitted with diesel burners for the heat source, with integrated diesel storage tanks ranging from 650liters to 1,100 liters – biomass/coal heat sourced dryers are also available on request.
All mobile batch dryers are equiped with an aspiration system to remove all chaff, leaves, dust and light particles from the grain before entering the grain, ensuring that you’re only drying valuable produt, and not expending time and fuel on drying trash in your grain.
The dryers are also fitted with automatic hi level fill sensors, ensuring that the dryer isn’t overfilled. The dryers are also fitted with continuous moisture testees, where the moisture content of the grain in the dryer is measured continuously – so that know what your grain is doing in the dryer, and to prevent the user from over drying, or under drying – the dryer can be preset to a desired mositure content – once reached – the dryer will shut off automatically, to prevent over drying and over expenditure of energy.
