Description
The hammer mill is the general purpose mill – and is also offered as part of the Universal Mill platform.
Hammer mills are also sometimes referred to as pulverizing mills – and the action of the hammer mill, is based on product being hammered or pulverized with hardened steel tips, against a screen fitted in the mill outlet. The mill keeps on hammering and hitting at the product, till it is able to pass through the screen below. Output product is determined by the size of the screen fitted on outet.
The hammer mill attachment runs standard at 4000RPM – with a tip speed of 58m/second
Hammer mill capacities on the Universal Mill will range between 200kg/hr up to 2TPH – depending on the screen fitted and the material milled.
Hammer mill attachments are manufactured of mild steel beater centres and spacers, with Bennox Milling tips.
