Description
Sampling of grain is ever important in the grain handling chain – to take accurate, representative samples of the grain that is taken into grain silo and storage complexes – to ensure the grading and quality of the grain being taken in, and purchased from third parties – as well as being able to take accurate samples of the grain being brought in from a farmer’s own fields – to enable splitting of grain to different storage locations – in the case of grain that is under grade, damaged, or has fungal growths – to prevent the entire silo’s quality from being downgraded.
ABC Hansen offers the GSP2900 from Labograin – a hydraulically operated sampling probes – for accurate, deep and repeatable sampling of grain from trucks – with the ability to transport the samples to a grading office up to 30m away from the sampling point – using a blower system.
The sample probe can be fitted with a camera system and a remote control, so that samples can be taken from trucks from the comfort of an office chair in the grading office – and allowing for accurate record keeping as the video feed enables sample takers to take down registration numbers on vehicles.
The machines is also 270º rotatable (135º from centre lines to both sides)
The sampler has a telescopic arm, with high penetration power of 8NM of force when entering the grain.
The sampler is shipped fully assembled – for quick assembly and placement on site.
Simple foundation design
ABC Hansen offers camera system and remote control joystick as standard options with the sample probe
