Kivi-Pekka specialises in stone pickers and have been producing stone pickers in Finland since 1997.
Rocks and stones are usually removed from fields manually, which is incredibly time consuming, and not very effective in collecting all the stones – not to mention it being back breaking labour, that goes incredibly slowly. With manual removal, the results are never as good as with an mechanized picker, as the mechanical picker collect rocks that may be buried just below the surface that aren’t visible to labourers walking the field loooking for stones and rocks.
The Kivi Pekka model range allows for working widths from 3.3m up to 7m – and a traveling speed of up to 6km per hour, which results in a rock clearing of a field in as little as 25 minutes per hectare – depending on how many rocks need to be picked, and stone discharge locations.
Stones of sizes between 2.5cmØ and 35cmØ can be collected on the standard machine, and if the flex drum option (available on the 5m/6m/7m models only) is added – stones up to 50cmØ can be picked up.
With a hydraulic lifted collection bin, there is no manual labour for offloading the stones at the drop op site – simply with the flick of a switch, the collection bin discharges all of the stones.
Special features:
All tines give way horizontally – to prevent blocages. No reversing of tine direction is thus neccesary
The Optional Flex Drum tines are especially reinforced for larger stone capacities
All tines are fitted with auxiliary sprrings and are suspended with rubber buffers
210-290cm discharign height allow for easy discharging of stones to containers, or to trailers, and allow for larger, higher rock piles
Mechanical locks secure the load bin in the top position, and the operator is able to position the discharge from the cab of the tractors
The welded sieve is made of high strength alloy steel, and is available in different spacings
Tines run through the entire length of the sieve, keeping the sieves clean, and preventing blockages
Large capacity stone collection bins allow for less frequent trips to dump rocks, making for quicker clearing of fields
