Description
ABC Hansen has developed a manufactured rotary valve – for smaller applications – with capacities up to 4m³/hr.
The valve is constructed of mild steel as standard – but can be made optionally in stainless steel
In most applications rotary valves are used to control the flow of materials – most often than not to decrease the flowrate to a more manageable level for the next process in the line.
Many times – they are also used in situations where gas pressures are different on either side of the valve – such as at the outlets of cyclonic separators.
These rotary valves are not suitable as blow through valves. They are specifically designed as negative pressure type valves – typically installed below cyclones – to reduce dust at the outlet.
The rotor vane has replaceable rubber strips – that ensure a tight seal on the valve – but are designed to give way in the case of hard or larger particles getting stuck between the vane and the housing – to prevent blockages.
