ABC Hansen Africa offers a range of stoneground wheat milling systems – for artisan to commercial milling customers – to produce high quality stone ground flours, with extraction yields of up minimum 65%.

The Millers Choice system has a capacity of approximately 1000kg/hr and an extraction rate of 65% (based on wheat) – making it an ideal milling system for small bakeries who want to be able to control their quality and inputs (and save costs) and farmers who want to add value to their product.
The system consists of a reception bin (Reception bin – Triangular – 3m | ABC Hansen Africa), that discharges to a bucket elevator (Bucket Elevators | ABC Hansen Africa) that loads a buffer bin (Hopper bins – steel – 0.5m³-26m³ | ABC Hansen Africa), which is unloaded by two auger with Y-split pieces (Augers 165mm | ABC Hansen Africa) that is speed controlled with a variable frequency drive (Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) 2.2-30KW | ABC Hansen Africa) to feed the four 950mm horizontal stone mill (Stonemill – Horizontal | ABC Hansen Africa) , a 7.5KW fan (Blowers & Fans | ABC Hansen Africa) and air extraction system, and a mini plan sifter (Mini-Plansifter | ABC Hansen Africa) – which discharges the good flour to a packing bin, and the low quality flour is returned to the mills for reprocessing. These are all combined into a single system – to produce high quality, wholegrain flours.
The stone mill mills down the grain to a flour, from where it is extracted – dust free – through a cyclone and a rotary valve, which then discharges the flour to the rotary sifter, where the flour is graded and the bran is removed – leaving you with a clean, high quality wholegrain flour.
The system includes ducting and spouting, as well as a motor control centre (Motor control centre – in IP55 enclosure – per control unit` | ABC Hansen Africa) and cabling set.
